Privacy policy

🔒 In short: we never sell your information and never make it public. Your ID photos are kept in a private store account. Only trained staff can see them, and every time someone looks, it is recorded.
This policy explains what information Puff Republic and Master Baiters ("we", "us") collect when you use our website and app to reserve products for pickup, and how we use and protect it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, mobile number, date of birth and password. Your password is stored scrambled (hashed); nobody at the store can read it.
- ID check: photos of the front and back of your government photo ID and a selfie. Your selfie is also used as your profile photo, so staff can recognise you at pickup. Staff record the ID type, issuing state, the last 4 characters of the ID number, its expiry date and the date of birth on it.
- Product requests: the product name, details and an optional photo you send when you ask us to stock something.
- Orders: the products you reserve, pickup day and time, order status, and any discount used.
- On your device: your cart, sign-in, prices, profile photo and age choice are saved in your browser so the site remembers them. You can clear them by signing out or clearing your browser data.
We do not collect payment card details online. You pay in store. Prices are shown to signed-in customers.
Why we use it
- To create your account, reserve your order, prepare it and hand it to you at pickup.
- To email your sign-up and password-reset codes, order confirmations, order updates and answers to your product requests.
- To confirm your identity and age. Vape, tobacco, hemp and kratom products can only be reserved by customers 21 or older, as the law requires. Customers under 21 may verify their ID too; those products stay locked until their 21st birthday. A valid photo ID is still checked in store at pickup.
- To apply discounts you qualify for (for example a 21st birthday discount, based on your verified date of birth) and, only if you opted in, to email you deals.
How we check and protect your ID
- Photos are sent over an encrypted connection and resized on your phone first; location and camera details are removed.
- They are stored in a private store folder that is not shared. Only the owner and employees given permission to check IDs can view them. The photos are marked "staff only" with the employee's name, and every view is recorded.
- Two different employees check each ID. Every step (who checked, when, and what changed) is logged.
- They are never used for advertising, sold, or shared with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
Who can see your information
- Our store owner and authorized staff, only as needed to run orders, check IDs and answer requests.
- Service providers that host our systems: Google (account, order and ID records, emails) and Netlify (website hosting). They process data on our behalf.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not make it public, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your ID photos while your account is open, so you don't have to send them again. When you close your account, or ask us to, we delete them. We keep account, order and request records as long as needed to run our business and meet legal, tax and age-verification record requirements.
Your choices
- Update your name or phone number in My account on the website. You can also change your date of birth there until your ID is verified. Change your password with Forgot password.
- Change your profile photo in My account. The store checks the new photo against your ID again.
- To correct a verified date of birth, see your data, delete your ID photos or close your account, contact us in store, by phone or by email.
If something goes wrong
If we ever learn that your personal information was accessed without permission, we will tell you as required by Florida law.
Age
Accounts are for people 18 and older. Products for ages 21+ can only be reserved by customers 21 and older with a verified ID.
